Act Profile

Classical Pop and Bollywood Harpist

While studying at the RCM generously supported by the Stanley Picker Award, the Agustí Pedro i Pons Foundation Scholarship and the Leverhulme Award. She is currently being kindly supported by the musical charity Talent Unlimited.

Anna has collaborated with various orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra (RCM’s BBCSO Pathway Scheme) and the HSCO Hulencourt Orchestra. She has toured around Spain as a winner of the Concurso Permanente de Juventudes Musicales de España (JJMM) and participated in music festivals such as the ‘Festival Internacional d’ Arpa de Sentmenat’ the ‘Pòdium Internacional de Matadepera’, and ‘New Soundings Project’. Anna’s ensemble chamber work is extremely varied, and apart from traditional ensembles such as flute and harp duo, and flute, viola and harp trio, Anna regularly works with double bass, saxophone, and occasionally with percussion.. Her passion for discovery is leading her to break down musical barriers, and she continues to champion contemporary and new music in different styles. As well as continuing to collaborate with composers and further experimenting with electronics, amongst her new projects there is the creation of new ensembles such as harp double bass saxophone and clarinet, pop singer and harp, and a harp duo.

Best wishes, Gabriella & Tony Adebajo

I saw her perform in London this week and was very moved by her playing. Her performance was of Josef Tal's Concerto for Harp and Electronics and she played with style and aplomb. She makes her harp sing and exudes confidence in her own ability. Quite rightly so. I found it a profoundly inspiring experience. See her if you can.
